The Solar Force

Sunlight pushes on the earth Sunlight not only heats the earth, but it (the light itself) exerts a repulsive force on the earth as well.  That force amounts to about 660 million newtons, equivalent to 74,000 tons.

This force is trivial compared to the 36,000 billion billion newtons (800 million billion tons) of gravitational force attracting the two bodies together.
